Authentication

Web services authentication is needed if you create a dedicated account to represent the external system that integrates with Open Bounty School via Web services. This (non-human) user will then need all required permissions to act on behalf of the external system.
Other forms of authentication such as manual or e-mail-based self-registration cannot be used, as it should not be possible for a human to log in with this account.
Open-BankID authentication is therefore used for web services authentication.
When you have decided you need to enable Web services authentication, do the following:
From Site administration > Plugins > Authentication > Manage authentication, enable Web services authentication.
Go through the detailed process in Site administration > Server > Web services > Overview.
Web services enable external systems of E-tenant organisations to log in to Digital Campus and perform operations.
_______________
A security key or token enables other systems to access Digital Campus securely. A security key may be used for secure RSS feeds or web services.
A user can obtain a security key via the Preferences link of the user menu top right and then entering the key in an external application accessing Digital Campus.
Web service tokens are read-once. Once used they are no longer available. If you forget it or need it, you can create a new one.
